The Terrible Two's
Oh my goodness! I thought we got to the terrible one and half. We had reached our peak when comes to emotional melt downs for a two year old. It has gotten worse. Many people tells us that it is normal with the "no's" and refusal of listening to our directions. Cayzilla is constantly pushing the boundaries. Daddy almost got his teeth knocked out today in the afternoon when Cayzilla was having a melt down. During dinner time, Cayzilla wanted to play with her food and utensils, and threw food at the dinner table. Then she threw her fork at me, while tantruming and almost took my left eye out. Luckily for me, I had my glasses on. I was told the Terrible Two's still stick around until kindergarten. I hope it won't that long with my CayCay. Where's my little princess?

My Mischievous Little Princess

Caitlin has been watching all of the Disney Princess movies over and over again. I am so Princess out right now, especially with The Little Mermaid. Caitlin likes to sleep on her Ariel pillowcase, which used to belong to Auntie Rica, and of course her beautiful Princess blanket. The dress phase is still continuing on right now. Caitlin demands for her headband and/or clips quite often. Sometime, you will hear Caitlin humming or trying to sing the Little Mermaid song; she loves to dance, too.

Growing Pains As Parents

We went to visit a friend and her family on the weekend. Caitlin got to play and hang out with my friend's two older daughters. My friend's little boy was closer in Caitlin age. Caitlin got more practice on learning to ask and share toys with other kids older than her. It was amazing how hurt we can get as parents when we hear other kids teasing our little munchkin for not enunciating the word Hello Kitty correctly, even though it was in a playful manner. As parents, we felt bad for Caitlin. Luckily, she did not even notice or remember the incident. I guess that is a hidden blessing. Caitlin had a great time playing and being around with other kids. I tell myself that is life. That is something Caitlin will have to learn to deal with on the playground, when she starts attending school in three years. I now understand why some of my present and former students' parents and grandparents get so overprotective or work up on things that happen at school. It was an eye opening experience for us.

Dress Addiction

Caitie pie has been going through a princess phase ever since Christmas. Now, she has made a connection that wearing a dress equals to being a princess. Caitie pie needs to wear a dress all the time while she is awake or asleep. MaMa has brought over Auntie Rica's old dresses, and Caitlin loves them all. We are rotating the dresses that Caitlin still can fit and the ones MaMa brought over. The addiction has become overwhelming. If we let her, Caitlin will wear a dress to take a bath. (Haa....)

The Thrill of Being Toddlers

Caitlin got a chance to have a playdate with Kayla jie jie and hung out with Mia, Auntie Irene and Uncle Mike. The two toddlers had fun playing in the park and in the sandbox . Caitlin and Kayla's favorite activities were the bubbles and dancing around. Definitely, I can not forget the dress up too. It was fun watching those two toddlers play. I got a chance to play and hold Mia baby. =)

The Making of a Nerd
Last month, Anna and I for some reason felt like revisiting all the Harry Potter movies. It's always fun to watch the entire series and see how much the kids grew over the past decade. In the process however, we managed to start Caitlin onto the path of the nerd...
Caitlin can pick Harry Potter out of a crowd too! We were at Target the other day and she started yelling out at the top of her lungs, "HARRY POTTER!" We didn't notice the giant picture of Harry Potter above the DVD section of the store... but Caitlin saw it. Hopefully later on we can get her into the books too. =)

New Year's Day!

Wow...it's 2010. I gave my daughter wonderful Vulcan bangs to start the new year. At least I was told that Caitie pie's hair will grow back ( Whew.....). We had a nice little family time with shopping and eating a delicious lunch. I got a yummy ice cream cake in the evening for our little family to celebrate the day, and Caitlin and I wished Daddy a Happy Birthday. Caitlin wanted the cake really badly once I got into the car. She was a happy camper once we got to eat the cake together. Yumm....
