Caitlin seems to be growing by the minute. She already seems bigger and older from our pictures we took of her a couple weeks ago! She is also getting very skilled at eating by her self. Less bib, less spillage... well, a little less...
She also has a few favorites when it comes to food. She loves Siu Mai (Pork Dumplings) and Jook (rice porridge), and the best part is I don't have to feed it to her scoop at a time anymore!

San Diego

It was Caitlin first time to San Diego. We all had a great time at the zoo with Auntie Rica, Uncle Dennis, Auntie Susie and Hudson. The kidos got to monkey around. We got to see cute koalas and pandas. Then we got to have dinner with Auntie Rica for four nights in a row, and Caitlin adores Gu Jie aka Auntie Rica. We had a great time with Auntie Janis and Uncle Art , who took beautiful pictures of Caitlin. I know Caitlin missed MaMa and YeYe after stopping by LA to say "Happy Birthday to TaiMa" and ate a light dinner. Caitlin got a chance to hang and run around with Ethan. We missed the rest of the cousins and little ones since we got there at 5ish in the evening.

Mini Shopaholic (May Nay Kow Mut Kong)
We've been shopping at Target a lot when we were down in San Diego for necessities that we forgot to get or need. We literally could have just stayed in Target. (hee......) Everywhere we went shopping for food or things. Caitlin kept on saying "buy it". It is kind a scary that she a little shopaholic (may nay kow mut kong) already. She is only 26 months as of today.

Dancing Queen
It has been a long.......week for me. I would say one of my highlights was with Caitlin. She has finally taken a break from watching Little Mermaid movie and moving onto Sleeping Beauty. Caitlin has taken up humming and dancing. The hairclips or headband bug her when she is spinning around.

The Terrible Two's
Oh my goodness! I thought we got to the terrible one and half. We had reached our peak when comes to emotional melt downs for a two year old. It has gotten worse. Many people tells us that it is normal with the "no's" and refusal of listening to our directions. Cayzilla is constantly pushing the boundaries. Daddy almost got his teeth knocked out today in the afternoon when Cayzilla was having a melt down. During dinner time, Cayzilla wanted to play with her food and utensils, and threw food at the dinner table. Then she threw her fork at me, while tantruming and almost took my left eye out. Luckily for me, I had my glasses on. I was told the Terrible Two's still stick around until kindergarten. I hope it won't that long with my CayCay. Where's my little princess?

My Mischievous Little Princess

Caitlin has been watching all of the Disney Princess movies over and over again. I am so Princess out right now, especially with The Little Mermaid. Caitlin likes to sleep on her Ariel pillowcase, which used to belong to Auntie Rica, and of course her beautiful Princess blanket. The dress phase is still continuing on right now. Caitlin demands for her headband and/or clips quite often. Sometime, you will hear Caitlin humming or trying to sing the Little Mermaid song; she loves to dance, too.

Growing Pains As Parents

We went to visit a friend and her family on the weekend. Caitlin got to play and hang out with my friend's two older daughters. My friend's little boy was closer in Caitlin age. Caitlin got more practice on learning to ask and share toys with other kids older than her. It was amazing how hurt we can get as parents when we hear other kids teasing our little munchkin for not enunciating the word Hello Kitty correctly, even though it was in a playful manner. As parents, we felt bad for Caitlin. Luckily, she did not even notice or remember the incident. I guess that is a hidden blessing. Caitlin had a great time playing and being around with other kids. I tell myself that is life. That is something Caitlin will have to learn to deal with on the playground, when she starts attending school in three years. I now understand why some of my present and former students' parents and grandparents get so overprotective or work up on things that happen at school. It was an eye opening experience for us.
